The Mastercard Foundation Health Collaborative has engaged with KNUST Health-affiliated Training institutions in the Southern and Northern sectors of Ghana.

The two engagements saw over 200 personnel from these institutions and the KNUST Affiliations office gather at the campus of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology to share ideas on ways to strengthen the project.

The Northern sector engagement also featured Municipal, Metropolitan and District Chief Executives.

The pillar leads, Prof. Wilberforce Owusu-Ansah and Drs. Joseph Owusu and Kofi Akohene-Mensah of the Health Entrepreneurship, Health Ecosystem and Health Employment respectively took turns to address the stakeholders on their activities.

The Chief Director of the Northern Regional Coordinating Council, Mr. Alhassan Issahaku was happy the Health Collaborative will tackle the urgent needs in Ghana’s health sector.

He therefore urged the participants to rally behind the project.

“This Collaboration is very important. Health of every nation determines its wealth. As this Collaboration seeks to address key issues in our Health delivery system, we must give it the needed attention as stakeholders. We must see how we can ensure we reap the maximum benefit,” he said.
